New Media, etc.

Starting this blog and podcast have been great for getting my hands into software and websites I would have never been exposed to before.  Even working with WordPress has been a great learning experience.

And I’m finding some new social networks I wouldn’t have found too, like .  Being into audio (hence, the podcast) it’s a cool site that let’s you share audio clips, music, and spoken word stuff of all varieties!

Stephen Covey of 7 Habits fame talks about always sharpening the ax, staying sharp and learning all the time.

I’m down with that.

I just recorded the second episode and I think it turned out alright.  I went out the the local Guitar Center and picked up some acoustic foam.  I created a small box that my microphone goes into, which is a whole lot more affordable than covering a whole room with the stuff.  I think it makes a difference in the audio quality but there is always room for improvement.

Here’s where the idea came from:  Thanks Jake Ludington for the DIY!

Learning all the time!
